 The Container Management System (CMS) is an Intranet application used by employees at several warehouse and US Customs examination facilities. CMS controls the process for the trucking and examination-service business units from a common application and database. This design eliminates duplicate data entry and streamlines the workflow process. CMS manages all aspects of container activity such as driver dispatching, container pick-up at the pier, US Customs processing, unloading of cargo, returning the empty container to the pier, and customer invoicing. Various query and reporting capabilities provide up-to-date status information used to expedite production. The Container Tracking System (CTS) is an Extranet application used by Brokers and Import Customers to keep track of their containers' arrival, processing status, and delivery. The CTS was integrated into an existing corporate portal web-site to provide a single sign-on for customers. |
